[Asia Economy Reporter Joeslgina] SK Telecom is conducting recruitment with a new interview method in the untact (non-face-to-face) era.
SK Telecom announced on the 3rd that it will conduct the 'In:tact (Interactive Untact)' interview, a non-face-to-face group communication method, within this month for the first time in regular recruitment of new employees at a large corporation.
This utilizes a group video call solution developed by SK Telecom itself. While most untact interviews after the COVID-19 pandemic have been conducted in HD quality with a one-on-one Q&A format, this is evaluated to have surpassed the existing video interview method with full HD quality.
To ensure that interviewees can take the interview fairly in the same environment, SK Telecom ships an 'In:tact Interview Kit' consisting of interview supplies such as video call tablets, tablets for interview materials, stands, and guidebooks to the interviewees' home addresses. Applicants receive the interview kit about a week in advance and conduct two tests of the connection environment before the interview.
Unlimited data is also provided for a smooth interview environment. This preemptively blocks the possibility of data disconnection depending on the data environment. The tablet provided to the interviewees will be shipped with a SIM card of an unlimited data plan installed. In addition, external data leakage is blocked through the proprietary mobile device security program 'SSM,' and certain functions are restricted from use.
This In:tact interview is conducted for applicants who passed the SKCT written test held on May 24.
Heo Jun, head of the HR2 Group at SK Telecom Corporate Culture Center, emphasized, "To recruit excellent talent even in the COVID-19 situation, SK Telecom has consolidated its capabilities to prepare so that applicants can safely and fairly participate in the interview," adding, "Applicants will experience a differentiated process regarding the technologies and services SK Telecom possesses from the interview."
