Jin Joong-kwon: "Kim Nam-guk, Shin Jang-sik, Woo Hee-jong Funnier Than Comedians"

"Reality Funnier Than Comedy Shows"

Jin Joong-kwon: "Kim Nam-guk, Shin Jang-sik, Woo Hee-jong Funnier Than Comedians" Former Dongyang University professor Jin Joong-kwon is speaking at the discussion titled "Talking about the 21st General Election! [Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ga-yeon] Former Dongyang University professor Jin Joong-kwon raised his voice in criticism toward pro-government figures, saying, "Reality is so ridiculous that comedy programs are being canceled one after another."

On the 2nd, Jin wrote on his Facebook, "Comedians were overwhelmed by that terrifying scale," expressing this view.

He mentioned Shin Jang-sik, a lawyer at the Minbon law firm, saying, "For example, Shin said, '(Regarding the former Prime Minister Han Myeong-sook's political funds law violation case witness) Mr. Han recently came forward with revelations because he felt guilty as a member of the same 'Cheongju Han clan.' Which comedian could possibly handle such a joke?" he mocked.

He continued, "Kim Nam-guk, a Democratic Party member who took on the role of sniper against former lawmaker Geum Tae-seop, says he wants to become a principled lawmaker like Geum. Which comedian could be funnier than this?"

He then ridiculed, "Professor Woo Hee-jong of Seoul National University, who created satellite parties based on factional logic, scolded me not to teach factions," adding, "This is why comedy programs inevitably lose their competitiveness."

Finally, he said, "I don't even want to respond to such nonsense, but out of courtesy, I will formally address it in print," adding, "The topic for this week is already decided, and I will see you next week. Why are these people acting like this as a group?"

Earlier, Professor Woo, who served as the representative of the Together Citizens' Party, targeted Jin in a Facebook post on the 1st, saying, "If you want to make a positive contribution to our society, please refrain from expressions that incite factional logic."

Woo said, "In any group, there are always extremists, moderates, mature people, and immature people," adding, "It is very regrettable that someone who should fully understand that their expression contains the errors of generalization and categorization uses divisive language to push their agenda."

He added, "Speaking in Jin Joong-kwon's manner is not about the Democratic Party or the United Future Party's level, but rather a confession of my own level," and "Seeing it that way makes us all look too shabby, regardless of progressive or conservative."
