LG Pra.L Ultrasonic Cleanser Sales Soar, Helping Gentle Facial Cleansing


[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] LG Electronics announced on the 3rd that sales of the 'LG Pra.L Ultrasonic Cleanser' doubled compared to the previous month. This accounts for one-third of the total sales proportion among the six LG Pra.L products.


The product features ultrasonic vibrations of up to 370,000 times per second, which help reduce skin irritation. The low-irritation ultrasonic vibrations gently shake the stratum corneum to create micro-cracks, allowing the fine bubbles formed by the cleanser to facilitate thorough cleansing. The silicone brush vibrates up to 4,200 times per minute to remove impurities.


LG Electronics explained that as the importance of meticulous cleansing increases during the summer, customer interest in the LG Pra.L Ultrasonic Cleanser, which maintains cleansing power while minimizing skin irritation, is expected to continue rising.


After initially launching the ultrasonic cleanser in white last year, LG Electronics released a new Blossom Pink model in April with a low-irritation care mode better suited for sensitive skin.


The brush, which directly contacts the skin, is made of silicone material that has passed biological safety tests related to skin contact according to international standards. The ultrasonic head uses a human implant-grade material commonly used in implants, ensuring customers can use it with confidence.


Considering the increasingly diverse age range of customers seeking low-irritation cleansers, LG Electronics plans to launch new ultrasonic cleanser models in various colors with differentiated performance in the second half of the year.


Park Kyung-chan, president of the Korean Society of Cosmetic Dermatology and medical advisor for LG Pra.L, emphasized the advantages of low-irritation ultrasonic vibrations, stating, "Using strong vibrations to enhance cleansing effects can actually irritate the skin and accelerate skin aging."


Son Dae-gi, Executive Director of Marketing for LG Electronics Korea HE, said, "We will continue to lead the premium home beauty device market by expanding the LG Pra.L lineup."
