[Asia Economy Reporter Heo Midam] A man in his 30s who assaulted a woman he had never met at Seoul Station and fled was caught seven days after the incident, sparking attention to a netizen's post claiming to have witnessed the arrest scene.

According to the Railroad Special Judicial Police under the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, suspect Lee was charged with striking the left cheekbone area of a woman in her 30s, whom he did not know, at around 1:50 p.m. on the 26th of last month on the first floor of the Airport Railroad Seoul Station and fleeing the scene.

Before the news of Mr. A's arrest was reported, a netizen posted on an online community titled "The person who randomly assaulted someone at Seoul Station has been caught. He was someone from our villa."

The author wrote, "There probably isn't any news yet. The culprit was someone living in a one-room apartment in our villa. He was just caught and taken away in a car," adding, "The witness said he was 180cm tall with fair skin, which was accurate. He broke down the door and went in, and they said he was sleeping."

He continued, "At first, the detective went in and came out saying 'He's dead,' but (Lee) was just sleeping. The room smelled so bad that they thought he was dead. But he was either half-awake or groggy."

In response to a comment from a netizen saying, "It must have been creepy to realize such a person lived in the same building," the author replied, "I usually didn't notice anything strange."

Meanwhile, the victim sustained injuries such as a depressed cheekbone and is currently receiving treatment at a hospital.

She appeared on CBS Radio's 'Kim Hyun-jung's News Show' on the 2nd and recounted the incident, saying, "The man deliberately hit my right shoulder very hard while cursing. I was so scared and shocked that I raised my voice and asked, 'What did you just say?' Then (the man) cursed again and, as if waiting for that moment, threw a punch that struck my left cheekbone," adding, "I was wearing glasses at the time, so the injury left a deep scar."
