The Lotto ticket operator Donghaeng Lotto announced on the 2nd, "We watched until the last day to see if the first prize winner of the 861st draw would appear, but no one came to claim the prize."
According to Donghaeng Lotto, the first prize for the 861st Lotto draw held on June 1 last year was 4.872 billion won.
Lotto winnings must be claimed at a bank within one year from the draw date. If not claimed, the prize automatically reverts to the lottery fund.
The claim period for the 861st prize expired as of 4 p.m. on that day.
This unclaimed ticket was sold at a Lotto sales outlet in Cheongju, Chungbuk Province last year.
