On the 2nd, Cheon Ho-jin's agency J Wide Company stated through multiple media outlets, "Cheon Ho-jin's father, Cheon Gyu-deok, passed away due to an illness," adding, "Currently, Cheon Ho-jin is quietly keeping vigil at the funeral site."
Cheon Gyu-deok, who passed away at the age of 88, was a first-generation professional wrestler who led Korean pro wrestling in the 1960s and 1970s and was known as a master of the "Dangsu Chigi" technique.
It is known that Cheon Gyu-deok died while battling illness at a nursing hospital after retirement. The funeral site has been set up at Naeun Hospital, and the funeral procession will be held on the morning of the 4th. The burial site is the Seoul National Cemetery.
Meanwhile, Cheon Ho-jin is currently appearing in the KBS 2TV weekend drama "Once Again." The production team of "Once Again" explained, "There is about a two-week buffer in filming scenes involving actor Cheon Ho-jin. Due to the bereavement, the schedule has been postponed to next week.
