Eurozone May Manufacturing PMI 39.4... 6P Increase from Previous Month

[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] According to Bloomberg, financial information provider IHS Markit surveyed corporate purchasing managers to gauge economic trends, and the Eurozone Manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) for May was 39.4. This is slightly lower than the survey estimate of 39.5 but 6 points higher than the previous month's 33.4. However, it still falls short of the 44.5 recorded in March, before the full-scale spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
