Gau-do Complex Fishing Park, a natural fishing spot with beautiful scenery where various fish species such as black porgy can be caught depending on the season, attracts about 1,000 anglers every year, and it is so popular that people line up and wait on holidays.
On the 1st, the county conducted prior safety inspections and facility repairs in preparation for the opening of Gau-do Complex Fishing Park, and has been creating a pleasant environment to minimize inconvenience for visitors.
The Complex Fishing Park is operated annually under consignment to the Gau-do Village Association, and fishing is only allowed within the Complex Fishing Park in Gau-do.
To use Gau-do Complex Fishing Park, wearing a life jacket and mask is mandatory for entry. The usage fee on the 1st is 10,000 KRW for adults and 5,000 KRW for adolescents. On-site fishing guidance for beginners, fishing equipment rental, and bait sales are provided for convenience.
Jeon Jae-young, head of the Marine and Forestry Division of Gangjin County Office, said, “Gau-do is a major tourist attraction gaining attention with various sights and experiences such as the suspension bridge, celadon sculpture tower, and zip track. We will revitalize the Complex Fishing Park by utilizing fishing and surrounding tourist facilities and develop it into the nation’s top fishing spot.”
