[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] Kyobo Life Insurance announced on the 1st that it selected the poem "The Power of Pause" by poet Baek Mu-san for the Gwanghwamun Billboard "Summer Edition."
The message conveys that just like a seed that seems to be still but is waiting to bloom, everyone needs a moment of pause for a leap forward.
Baek Mu-san is known as a poet who has reflected on the origins of human existence and the value of labor.
A Kyobo Life Insurance official said, "Although the reality is more exhausting than ever due to the impact of COVID-19, we chose this phrase to encourage people to take a moment to rest and look around, creating a stepping stone for growth through a 'time of pause.'"
Meanwhile, to commemorate 30 years of the Gwanghwamun Billboard, Kyobo Life Insurance will hold an online vote throughout June under the theme "What is the Gwanghwamun Billboard in My Heart?" The event aims to select the most beloved phrases from the past 30 years of Gwanghwamun Billboards as voted by citizens and to share the lingering impression and emotion of the billboards with many people.
