Hana Insurance Officially Launched... "We Will Transform into a Digital Comprehensive Non-Life Insurer"

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] Hana Financial Group's 14th subsidiary, Hana Insurance, officially launched on the 1st.

Hana Insurance held an inauguration ceremony at its headquarters in Jongno-gu, Seoul, on the morning of the same day and announced that it has officially started operations as a digital-based comprehensive non-life insurance company.

Hana Insurance is the first non-life insurance company within Hana Financial and the group's 14th subsidiary. Hana Financial prepared for the launch of Hana Insurance by signing a stock purchase agreement with The-K Non-Life Insurance on February 14 and obtaining approval for subsidiary incorporation from the Financial Services Commission on April 29.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Kim Jung-tae, Chairman of Hana Financial Group; Ham Young-joo, Vice Chairman of Hana Financial Group; Ji Sung-kyu, President of Hana Bank; Lee Jin-guk, President of Hana Financial Investment; as well as Jo Gyeong-je, Director of the Teachers' Pension; Jeong Dong-seop, Secretary General of the Korea Federation of Teachers' Associations; and other executives and employees.

At the event, Kwon Tae-gyun, President of Hana Insurance, announced a new brand slogan, "New Life Insurance Platform."

President Kwon expressed his ambition, stating, "Through various synergies with affiliated companies, we will bring a new breeze to the non-life insurance market and lead the way by pledging to 'digitally insure Korea's non-life insurance.'"

Chairman Kim said, "I sincerely welcome all employees of Hana Insurance, the new member of the group," adding, "In line with the group's management philosophy of 'Joy for Everyone, For That One,' we will spare no support and investment to grow together as a company that contributes not only to existing teacher customers but also to more customers, employees, shareholders, and the joy of local communities."
