Pengsoo Card Issued 300,000 Times in 95 Days
7 out of 10 Cards Held by 2030 Generation
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] KB Kookmin Card announced on the 1st that it will additionally launch a new design of the 'KB Kookmin Pengsoo Nori Check Card' featuring Pengsoo's cute poses.
The newly introduced 'Pengyomi (Pengsoo + cutie)' design will be sold for a limited time until February 16 next year, along with the 'Peng-Car' and 'Peng-Moticon' designs released in February.
This card can be applied for and issued immediately at any KB Kookmin Bank branch nationwide. It is also possible to apply through the KB Kookmin Card website, mobile application, and KB Kookmin Bank's Star Banking app.
The KB Kookmin Pengsoo Nori Check Card, first introduced on February 17, recorded 300,000 issued cards within 95 days of launch. Analysis of the issued card status showed that people in their 20s accounted for the largest portion at 41.0%, followed by those in their 30s (32.4%) and 40s (13.8%). By gender, women accounted for 72.8%, nearly three times more than men. Regarding application channels, online channels such as the internet accounted for 85.9%, more than six times higher than offline channels (14.1%).
To commemorate the addition of the new Pengsoo card design and the issuance of 300,000 cards, KB Kookmin Card will hold a lottery for customers who use the Pengyomi card issued by the end of June and spend more than 100,000 KRW. Prizes will be awarded to a total of 260 winners, including ▲Apple Watch 5th generation (5 people) ▲LG CineBeam (5 people) ▲Shinsegae gift certificates worth 50,000 KRW (50 people) ▲Cashback of 10,000 KRW (200 people).
