[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Volvo Car Korea announced on the 1st that it will introduce the industry's first "Lifetime Parts Warranty" as part of strengthening premium customer service.
The Lifetime Parts Warranty is a system that provides a lifetime warranty, regardless of the number of times, on genuine parts (including labor) replaced for a fee through official service centers. This warranty service also applies the same benefits if the warranted parts cause secondary damage to other parts, and paid repairs conducted in other countries supporting the lifetime parts warranty are also included. (Cases of repair delays are excluded)
The target customers are all Volvo car customers who replace parts for a fee after June 1 of this year and agree to provide information. However, customers must comply with regular inspection and replacement cycles based on 1 year or 15,000 km (whichever comes first) and follow the recommended vehicle maintenance policies according to the owner's manual.
If there is a change in ownership on the vehicle registration certificate, the warranty benefits will end. Repairs caused by insurance repairs or driver negligence, illegal modifications, and parts replacements due to not using genuine parts are not applicable. Additionally, consumables that require periodic replacement such as tires, brake pads and discs, spark plugs, filters, as well as batteries, sheet metal, and painting items are excluded. (Benefits expire when warranted parts are discontinued)
Yoon Mo Lee, CEO of Volvo Car Korea, said, "The introduction of the Lifetime Parts Warranty is a special service unique to Volvo that drastically reduces the maintenance costs of imported cars, which customers generally worry about, and allows them to experience the charm of Volvo cars for a long time." He added, "Volvo Car will strive to provide stress-free true ownership enjoyment and continuous customer satisfaction services."
