Simmons explained that the company established disaster relief funds to encourage employees who are overcoming difficult times together amid the global COVID-19 crisis and to contribute to revitalizing the local economy. The funds were raised from CEO Ahn Jung-ho's salary forfeiture and will be distributed at 300,000 KRW each to about 450 employees excluding executives.

CEO Ahn said, "We decided to establish these disaster relief funds to express our gratitude to all employees who steadfastly kept their positions during the COVID-19 crisis," adding, "In difficult times, as a member of the public and as a businessperson, I will devote myself to my duties to help overcome the current national disaster situation together."

In March, Simmons Bed also implemented a 1 billion KRW distribution support plan for dealers and consignment sales agents affected by the spread of COVID-19. Recently, amid the emergency status of all domestic medical facilities due to COVID-19, Simmons signed a business agreement with Samsung Seoul Hospital to support 300 million KRW in medical expenses to help pediatric patients in urgent need.
