On the 31st, Pyeongtaek City announced that a U.S. soldier in his 20s, identified as A, stationed at Osan Air Base (K-55), tested positive for COVID-19.
A entered the country through Incheon International Airport the day before, then used a military base bus to move to the base. After arriving, A was tested and received a positive diagnosis on the same day.
Currently, there are no known contacts of A, and with this case, the number of confirmed infections in the Pyeongtaek area has risen to 52.
