Yeongsanpo Development Council Holds Steering Committee Workshop

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] The Yeongsanpo Development Council (hereinafter Yeongbalhyeop) announced on the 31st that it held an executive committee workshop at the Jungheung Gold Spa Resort from the 29th to the 30th.

The event was attended by about 40 people, including Lee Gijun, president of Yeongbalhyeop, National Assembly member Shin Jeonghun, and Yeongbalhyeop executive committee members.

At the subsequent Yeongbalhyeop seminar, presentations and discussions were held on the following topics: ▲ Yeongbalhyeop Roadmap by Ryu Jaeseok, Senior Vice President, ▲ Development Direction of the Southern Region by Lee Yunhyung, Head of the Advisory Group, ▲ Yeongsangang River Area Tourism Specialization by Jang Haengjun, Vice President, ▲ Various Local Festivals and Events by City Councilor Lee Jaenam, and ▲ Development Direction of Yeongsanpo Education by City Councilor Lee Daeseong.

President Lee Gijun said, “I look forward to various discussions for policy development and budget securing related to regional harmony and development in Yeongsanpo, and I ask everyone to think together and actively participate to lay the foundation for passing on a livable region as a legacy to future generations.”

Meanwhile, the Yeongsanpo Development Council plans to actively carry out activities aiming for the future elevation of Ichang-dong, Yeongsan-dong, and Yeonggang-dong into Yeongsanpo-eup, the creation of parks within the original downtown of Yeongsanpo, the promotion of Yeongsanpo and Wanggok-myeon as a hinterland city for the national industrial complex, and the discovery of independent projects led by Yeongbalhyeop.
