[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Mokpo National Maritime University (President Park Seong-hyun) announced on the 30th that it held the Visiting Career and Learning Counseling (Hiving Line Counseling Center) program, starting with students from the Suncheon and Gwangyang areas on the 28th.
Organized by the Student Counseling Center, the visiting career and learning counseling program is designed for enrolled students, where faculty members directly visit students' residences to provide career and employment-related information and to guide students attending remote classes due to COVID-19 prevention measures.
Through this program, professors and students communicate directly to strengthen their sense of belonging and connection to the university, share the university’s vision and talent ideals, manage students’ academic performance, and contribute to alleviating psychological anxiety about learning and career through faculty mentoring.
President Park Seong-hyun said, “This program was prepared to provide practical career and learning information to students in a comfortable atmosphere,” and added, “We will continue to do our best to support specialized learning programs to enhance students’ educational competitiveness.”
He also stated, “We plan to expand the Visiting Career and Learning Counseling (Hiving Line Counseling Center) program nationwide to provide career and employment-related information to all students and to guide students attending remote classes.”
