[Asia Economy Reporter Heo Midam] Kim Kyung-yul, head of Economic Democracy 21, fiercely criticized broadcaster Kim Eo-jun on the 28th, who claimed a 'behind-the-scenes theory' regarding Japanese military comfort women victim grandmother Lee Yong-soo, saying, "I want to ask how long you will continue this kind of behavior."
On the same day, Kim posted on his Facebook targeting Kim, saying, "It seems you have obtained evidence such as tax invoices brought by the person who sold and disposed of the Anseong Shelter. Hairy guy, do you know that the evidence you are holding now was rejected by the Community Chest of Korea?"
In another post, Kim also said, "I want to ask how long News Factory will continue this kind of behavior," and questioned, "Did News Factory conduct at least minimal document verification from Kim Woon-geun?" The documents Kim mentioned refer to the capital gains tax details reported by Kim Woon-geun when selling the Anseong Shelter.
He explained, "The acquisition cost of the land, site development cost, building completion cost, and landscaping cost all combined, Kim Woon-geun reported 544 million KRW to the tax office," adding, "Considering that Kim Woon-geun is a construction contractor, it is presumed that the acquisition cost was also significantly inflated."
He continued, "Now they say it cost 770 million KRW to build the building," and added, "Does News Factory miss the thrill of the prank they played when they brought a whistleblower named X during the Cho Kuk incident?"
Kim also said, "I have had connections with News Factory writers and have had fun with Kim Eo-jun, so I have tried to avoid mentioning this as much as possible," but added, "Also, since I am dreaming of the next presidential election, it is not desirable to be at odds with journalists, but now it is all over, and it is war."
Earlier on the 26th, Kim Woon-geun appeared on tbs radio's 'Kim Eo-jun's News Factory,' hosted by Kim Eo-jun, and responded to the criticism that the 'Anseong Shelter' was sold and purchased at an absurdly high price, saying, "When calculating only the construction cost, it was a total of 770 million KRW. I tried to sell it for over 900 million KRW, but sold it cheaply because it was for a good cause." The known market price of the Anseong Shelter at that time was around 350 million KRW.
