[Asia Economy Reporter Heo Midam] Actor Lee Dong-gun and Jo Yoon-hee, a married couple, have announced their divorce after three years of marriage.

On the 28th, Lee Dong-gun's agency FNC Entertainment released an official statement saying, "We regret to deliver unfortunate news to those who have loved actor Lee Dong-gun. After careful consideration, Mr. Lee decided to divorce and completed the divorce mediation process at the Seoul Family Court on the 22nd."

They added, "We apologize for causing concern to many people and will strive to show better aspects as an actor in the future."

Meanwhile, Lee Dong-gun and Jo Yoon-hee developed a romantic relationship while acting together in the 2017 KBS drama 'The Gentlemen of Wolgyesu Tailor Shop,' and registered their marriage in May of that year. They held a private wedding ceremony in September, four months later, and welcomed a daughter in December of the same year. Custody of the daughter will be with Jo Yoon-hee.
