[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Seul-gi] Jung Il-hoon (26), a member of the idol group BTOB, enlisted in the military today (28th).

On the 27th, Jung Il-hoon announced his enlistment news through a post on his social network service (SNS), saying, "Hello. To my beloved Melody (BTOB fandom name) and all the fans who support me. It’s been a while since I greeted you through writing."

Jung Il-hoon apologized, saying, "I feel sorry for not having proper communication with you all while taking a break from activities. You must have felt frustrated because there was no contact with someone you trust and love, and only occasional news was heard. I apologize once again."

He continued, "During this time, I have been focusing solely on myself and taking time to take care of myself," adding, "It feels like it’s been a long time since I left such a long message, and I feel sorry that this news comes suddenly."

He added, "It will be a long time if long, and short if short, but I will come back healthier and happier. I hope you all have been happy as well. Thank you for reading this message. I love you once again, Melody."

With this, all members of BTOB except the foreign member Peniel and Seo Eunkwang, who was discharged last April, have enlisted.

On the 11th, Yook Sung-jae and Im Hyun-sik entered the Army Training Center in Nonsan, Chungnam. Yook Sung-jae is serving as a military band soldier after basic military training, and Im Hyun-sik is serving as an active-duty soldier.

Lee Chang-sub and Lee Min-hyuk are scheduled to be discharged in August and September, respectively.

Hello. To my beloved Melody and all the fans who support me, it’s been a while since I greeted you through writing. Actually, I am writing this to announce my enlistment news. I feel sorry for not having proper communication with you all while taking a break from activities. You must have felt frustrated because there was no contact with someone you trust and love, and only occasional news was heard. I apologize once again.

However, during that time, I have been focusing solely on myself and taking time to take care of myself. It feels like it’s been a long time since I left such a long message, and I feel sorry that this news comes suddenly.

But as a man of the Republic of Korea, you all know well that I must fulfill the duty I must bear. It will be a long time if long, and short if short, but I will come back healthier and happier. I hope you all have been happy as well. Thank you for reading this long message! I love you once again, Melody.
