Jinansarang Scholarship Foundation Awards Scholarships to 117 Recipients

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Go Dallyoung] Jinansarang Scholarship Foundation (Chairman Jeon Chunsung) selected 117 scholarship recipients and awarded a total of 180 million KRW in scholarships.

According to the foundation, from February 3 to March 13, a total of 172 applicants submitted scholarship application documents. After board review, 6 high school students and 111 university students were finally selected.

For welfare scholarships, high school students received 500,000 KRW each, and university students were awarded up to 2 million KRW excluding other scholarship benefits.

Special scholarships for new high school students in the district will be selected and awarded in the second half of the year after the nationwide joint academic assessment is conducted.

Meanwhile, since its establishment in 2003, Jinansarang Scholarship Foundation has awarded scholarships totaling 2.052 billion KRW to 1,271 recipients.

Chairman Jeon Chunsung of the scholarship foundation stated, “We will do our best to create an educational environment that nurtures capable local talents through continuous scholarship projects.”
