[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Urban Innovation Corporation has signed a business agreement with the Gyeonggi Cultural Foundation to revitalize the cultural and urban environment of new towns.


On the 27th, Gyeonggi Urban Innovation Corporation announced that it signed a business agreement with the Gyeonggi Cultural Foundation to revitalize the cultural and urban environment of new towns at a meeting room in the Gyeonggi Sangsang Campus, attended by about 10 officials including Lee Heon-wook, president of Gyeonggi Urban Innovation Corporation, and Kang Heon, representative of the Gyeonggi Cultural Foundation.


According to the agreement, the two organizations agreed to join forces to promote sustainable regional development by creating a foundation for cultural revitalization in new towns.


The specific contents of the agreement include ▲establishing specialized plans to build a cultural ecosystem in new towns ▲discovering cooperative projects to establish a foundation for cultural revitalization in new towns ▲formulating plans to activate citizen-led urban cultural governance ▲continuous exchange and cooperation for sharing various information and jointly developing policies.


Lee Heon-wook, president of Gyeonggi Urban Innovation Corporation, promised, "Through cooperation between Gyeonggi Urban Innovation Corporation, which has development project know-how, and the foundation, which possesses cultural project capabilities, we will incorporate a cultural urban philosophy from the urban development planning stage to create a competitive city, and strive to improve not only regional development but also the quality of life of residents."
