Webzen Launches Mobile New Release 'MU Archangel'

Depicting the Journey Over the 'Daecheon-sa Weapon' Dispute

[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-gyu Lee] Webzen has launched its new mobile massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) 'MU Archangel' in South Korea.

Webzen announced that from 2 PM on the 27th, MU Archangel's official service will begin on the Google Play Store.

However, the iOS version's official service has been delayed due to a late review process at the Apple App Store. Webzen plans to start the service as soon as the review is completed in coordination with the App Store.

MU Archangel faithfully implements the strengths of the original PC game 'MU Online' on mobile, making it one of Webzen's most anticipated titles. The storyline is presented as a spin-off of the series, focusing on the journey surrounding the game's top-tier item, the 'Archangel Weapon,' distinguishing it from previous 'MU' series games.

The game enhances fun and completeness by including guild content such as the 'Siege War,' where players compete to obtain the Archangel Weapon, and other guild-based gameplay. In a recent closed test with 10,000 participants, the 'female dark wizard,' appearing for the first time in the MU series, was the most chosen character by testers, and guild content like the 'Guild Auction House' also garnered high expectations.

Meanwhile, Webzen has prepared a commemorative event to celebrate the launch of MU Archangel. Until June 4th, players who first defeat in-game boss monsters and those who rank first in categories such as character level, equipment, and combat power will receive a 'Unique Equipment Box.'
