Seoul Milk Cooperative Launches Two Types of Cold Brew Cup Coffee 'Seoul Milk Gangneung Coffee'

[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Sunghye] Seoul Milk Cooperative announced on the 27th that it has launched two types of premium cup coffee, ‘Seoul Milk Gangneung Coffee,’ which captures the authentic flavor of African coffee using a low-temperature cold brew extraction method.

The two new products were introduced in collaboration with Bohemian Roasters, operated by Park Ichu, Korea’s first-generation barista. They are premium RTD (Ready-to-Drink) coffees that embody Park Ichu’s craftsmanship and sophistication, reflecting the sentiment of Gangneung Coffee Street.

‘Seoul Milk Gangneung Coffee Black’ uses only Ethiopian beans, allowing consumers to richly experience the floral and fruity aromas of the beans themselves. Meanwhile, ‘Seoul Milk Gangneung Coffee Latte’ was created through an optimal blend discovered by Seoul Milk Cooperative and Bohemian Roasters, reducing sweetness while enhancing the original coffee flavor and the smoothness of milk.

The packaging features illustrations reminiscent of the day and night of the Gangneung sea, a hot spot among coffee lovers, effectively expressing the characteristics of both the Black and Latte products.

Lee Yong, head of the beverage brand team at Seoul Milk Cooperative, said, “To develop differentiated products in the highly competitive RTD coffee market, we focused on four keywords: regional sentiment, craftsmanship, handcrafted coffee, and premium quality when launching the new products. We expect ‘Seoul Milk Gangneung Coffee,’ which highlights the regional sentiment of Gangneung and the rich, clean taste of coffee through the cold brew extraction method, to be loved by many consumers.”

The recommended retail price for the two new products is 2,200 KRW for 250ml, and they are available nationwide at general retail stores, large supermarkets, and online shopping malls.
