A Remarkable Achievement Following 7 Consecutive Wins at the Basic Local Government Heads Manifesto Excellence Competition

[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Seodaemun-gu (District Mayor Moon Seok-jin) announced that it was selected as the highest grade ‘SA’ in the ‘Evaluation Results of the Fulfillment and Information Disclosure of Promises by Basic Local Government Heads in the 7th Term of Elected Mayors’ announced by the Korea Manifesto Practice Headquarters.

This evaluation, hosted by the Korea Manifesto Practice Headquarters, was conducted by monitoring the promise fulfillment activities of each local government head posted on the websites of cities, counties, and districts nationwide as of December 31, 2019.

The evaluation was conducted in five areas: ▲completion of promise fulfillment ▲achievement of 2019 goals ▲resident communication ▲web communication ▲consistency with election manifesto promises and promise implementation plans.

The evaluation results were graded as SA, A, B, C, and D, and Seodaemun-gu received the highest grade, SA, in the comprehensive evaluation.

The Korea Manifesto Practice Headquarters monitored the data disclosed on city, county, and district office websites from March 2 to April 3 this year, then announced the final results after each local government’s explanation process and data supplementation.

Last year, Seodaemun-gu also achieved the remarkable feat of winning the ‘7th consecutive award’ at the ‘National Basic Local Government Heads Manifesto Best Practices Competition,’ which shares excellent cases of promise fulfillment by local governments.
