[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Seulgi Kim] A petition titled "Moon Jae-in Must Be Arrested" was posted on the White House petition site 'We the People.' As of 7 a.m. today (27th), the petition has garnered 118,334 signatures, surpassing the White House response threshold of 100,000.


According to the White House petition site 'We the People' on this day, a petition titled "INDICT & ARREST Moon Jae-in for SMUGGLING the ChinaVirus into the US & ENDANGERING the national security of US & ROK!" was posted on the 23rd of last month.


The petitioner, who identified himself as Professor Ilseon Kim of the 'Korean Patriotic Citizens Association,' claimed, "President Moon Jae-in smuggled COVID-19 into the United States and massacred Americans. He also illegally seized the sovereignty of the Republic of Korea, the United States' closest ally, endangering the security of the ROK-US alliance."


Furthermore, the petitioner stated, "President Moon Jae-in colluded with communist countries North Korea and China, permanently destabilizing security in the Indo-Pacific region."


Professor Ilseon Kim, known to have posted the petition, currently runs a conservative YouTube channel called 'Taepyeong TV.' Recently, he uploaded a video titled "White House Petition 100K Success. Let's Go for 1 Million. Arrest Red Moon Jae-in. Restore President Park Geun-hye" on his YouTube channel.


Meanwhile, on the 18th of last month, a petition titled "South Korean elections were rigged by the ruling party and President Moon Jae-in" was posted on 'We the People.' That petition received 100,427 signatures, allowing for an official response from the White House.
