[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Young-tae] The Jeonbuk Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration (Director Ahn Nam-woo) will conduct a "Love Blood Donation Campaign" on the 28th to overcome the blood supply shortage caused by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic. The campaign involves voluntary participation from employees of the Jeonbuk Small and Medium Business Administration, Jeonbuk Eastern Veterans Affairs Office, Honam Regional Statistics Office Jeonju Branch, Jeonbuk Election Commission, and the Post Office.
This campaign is organized mainly by the Jeonbuk Small and Medium Business Administration, with nearby institution employees voluntarily joining in response to the emergency blood supply shortage caused by a sharp decrease in blood donors due to cancellations of group blood donations amid the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
Director Ahn Nam-woo stated, "Patients urgently needing transfusions are also suffering greatly due to the blood supply shortage caused by COVID-19. I hope the participation of public officials in the blood donation campaign will help resolve the national blood supply crisis."
The Korean Red Cross Jeonbuk Blood Center said, "We will thoroughly ensure safety during the blood collection process by implementing strict quarantine measures, wearing masks, and using disposable blood collection equipment. General citizens can also participate, so we ask for warm interest and active participation."
