[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] The Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education announced on the 26th that two companies, Paru Co., Ltd. and Jibon Cosmetic Co., Ltd., located in Suncheon, donated hand sanitizers worth approximately 500 million won.
Paru Co., Ltd. and Jibon Cosmetic Co., Ltd. visited the Office of Education and donated about 65,000 hand sanitizers to be used for COVID-19 prevention activities for children in the Jeonnam region.
At the donation ceremony, Lee Yong-jae, Chairman of the Jeonnam Provincial Council, attended and emphasized the significance of cooperation with the local community and corporate public interest projects.
The hand sanitizer donation took place amid the phased return to school starting from the 20th for third-year high school students and small schools with fewer than 60 students in the province, continuing until the 8th of next month, and is expected to greatly aid COVID-19 prevention efforts at schools.
Superintendent Jang Seok-ung expressed gratitude, saying, “As in-person classes proceed, I was very concerned about how to protect the health of children from COVID-19. Considering that coexistence with COVID-19 is inevitable in the future, today’s hand sanitizer donation is like a ray of refreshing rain.”
