40s Father and Son Living in Eungam 2-dong, Eunpyeong-gu Confirmed with COVID-19

Disinfection Completed at Confirmed Patient's Home and Surroundings, Transfer to National Designated Isolation Bed (Seonam Hospital)... Total 32 Confirmed Cases in Eunpyeong-gu as of May 26

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Eunpyeong-gu (Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) announced that 2 additional COVID-19 confirmed cases occurred on the 26th.

The confirmed case Mr. ○○○ (resident of Eungam 2-dong, Eunpyeong-gu, male, in his 40s) and his son visited the Eunpyeong-gu Public Health Center screening clinic around 5 PM on the 25th, were tested, and both received final positive results around 9:30 AM on the 26th.

The two confirmed cases have currently been transferred to Seonam Hospital, a nationally designated isolation hospital bed.

Disinfection of the confirmed cases' residence and surrounding areas has been completed, and additional information confirmed through epidemiological investigation will be disclosed on the Eunpyeong-gu Office website.

Kim Mi-kyung, Mayor of Eunpyeong-gu, stated, “We are very concerned about the occurrence of confirmed cases ahead of kindergarten and elementary school openings. Eunpyeong-gu will do its best to block further confirmed cases through thorough contact tracing and strict disinfection.”
