"To Serve as a Bridgehead for Entering the Southeast Asian Market"
[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] JLKE is exporting an artificial intelligence (AI) lung disease analysis system to Thailand, where the cumulative number of confirmed COVID-19 cases has reached 3,000.
JLKE announced on the 26th that it will supply the portable AI lung disease analysis system "Handmade-JViewerX" to SWN, a Thai information and communication and security solutions specialist company.
This product analyzes X-ray images based on AI technology and is used for diagnosing lung diseases. Before delivery, it underwent strict technical verification with local data and specialists, and it will be used to diagnose local lung disease patients and suspected COVID-19 cases.
JLKE plans to collaborate with the "SWN Consortium," which includes major Thai telecom companies, to integrate JLKE's AI system with a 5G-based cloud medical image storage and transmission (PACS) system, thereby increasing market share. The supply of the 5G-based cloud PACS system to hospitals and medical infrastructure in Thailand, led by major telecom companies, has already begun.
Kim Dong-min, CEO of JLKE, said, "This is the first time JLKE's AI solution has been supplied to Thailand, the second-largest economy in ASEAN, and we will use this opportunity as a foothold to expand into the ASEAN market. Since we have the world's largest number of AI medical analysis solutions targeting various diseases, we expect to secure a favorable position in the Thai medical infrastructure market, where investment is actively increasing."
