Imsil Cheese Theme Park has been focusing on disinfection activities to welcome visitors after the implementation of social distancing in daily life, putting all efforts into completely blocking COVID-19.
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Nosik] Imsil Cheese Theme Park is showing one aspect of the ‘Post COVID-19’ (the changing world after COVID-19) tourist destinations.
In a situation where tourist destinations nationwide are facing great difficulties due to a sharp decline in visitors after the COVID-19 outbreak, many people exhausted from COVID-19 are seeking places to breathe and are visiting the theme park following the implementation of social distancing in daily life.
Since the end of February, when the COVID-19 situation occurred, Imsil Cheese Theme Park has temporarily closed all multi-use facilities including the experience center, Fromage Restaurant, 4D theater, pension, promotional center, survival game field, and Playland to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
During this period of few visitors, Imsil Cheese Theme Park renovated the 4D theater and Playland, conducted safety inspections, and completed facility maintenance to attract tourists safely.
After the implementation of social distancing in daily life, the park is focusing on disinfection activities to welcome visitors and is putting all efforts into completely blocking COVID-19.
Imsil Cheese Theme Park designates one day each week as a disinfection day to disinfect all facilities and conducts group training every month for all employees and resident businesses to ensure thorough disinfection.
Also, all tourists visiting Imsil Cheese Theme Park are encouraged to wear masks at the entrances of facilities such as the sales area and Fromage Restaurant, and strictly comply with disinfection rules according to social distancing guidelines, including temperature checks, guestbook registration, and hand sanitization.
Accordingly, Imsil Cheese Theme Park partially reopened some facilities such as Fromage Restaurant and the promotional center in April and is making thorough preparations for a full reopening next month.
In line with ‘Post COVID-19,’ tourist destinations are taking on new challenges to attract tourists while complying with disinfection rules.
Meanwhile, Imsil Cheese Theme Park, the only experience-based tourist destination themed on Imsil Cheese in Korea, boasts wide grasslands and beautiful European-style scenery, and is recognized as a representative tourist destination in Korea visited by 1.2 million people annually.
