[Asia Economy Reporter Cho Hyun-ui] The government will announce guidelines on mask-wearing and air conditioner use in schools on the 27th, the additional school reopening day. The guidelines will be applied immediately upon announcement.

Son Young-rae, head of public relations at the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters, stated at a regular briefing held at the Government Complex Sejong on the 26th, "Tomorrow, we plan to finalize and announce the revised guidelines on daily quarantine measures, including students' mask-wearing and air conditioner usage."

Last month on the 24th, ahead of the transition to 'distancing in daily life,' the government disclosed draft detailed guidelines for daily quarantine measures across 31 sectors in 12 ministries to normalize quarantine in workplaces and various fields.

Son said, "At that time, the guidelines were implemented simultaneously with their announcement," adding, "We plan to handle the 27th in the same way."
