Jangseong-gun Receives 'Highest Grade' in Pledge Fulfillment and Information Disclosure Evaluation

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Oh Gilsu] On the 26th, Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it received the highest grade, "SA grade," in the "Evaluation of Pledge Fulfillment and Information Disclosure of Local Government Heads Nationwide during the 7th Term of Elected Mayors," conducted among 226 basic local governments nationwide.

This is the second time Jangseong-gun has received the highest grade related to pledges, following last year's Grand Prize in the Super-Aged Response category at the "National Manifesto Best Practice Competition."

The evaluation, hosted by the Korea Manifesto Center, assessed the manifesto activities of local government heads displayed on local government websites in five areas: pledge fulfillment completion, 2019 goal achievement, resident communication, web communication, and consistency.

As of the end of 2019, Jangseong-gun reviewed the progress of 65 pledge projects across 7 categories and posted the implementation status on its website. Among the pledge projects, 21 were completed, and the average progress rate was high at 56.8%.

Additionally, the county website introduced new content such as "Pledges at a Glance," "Our Neighborhood Pledge Map," and "Pledge Management Regulations," making significant efforts in internal and external communication.

Governor Yoo Doo-seok said, "This highest grade achievement is the result of Jangseong-gun administration's dedication solely to its residents," and added, "We will continue to lead happy changes for residents' happiness and regional development through pledge implementation."
