[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] Hana Bank announced on the 26th that it has signed a business agreement with the Korean Red Cross for the fundraising and disbursement of donations through the 'Hana Gold Club Donation Service.'

Started in 2014, the Hana Gold Club donation is a service that accumulates a portion of the bank's profits generated over a specific period from transactions between customers and the bank into a public interest fund, which is then donated in the customer's name to a public interest organization designated by the customer.

The service can be applied for at Hana Bank Gold Club branches or Private Banker (PB) centers. Customers who meet certain transaction conditions can agree to the donation service and, upon newly subscribing to products such as savings/deposits or collective investment securities, can donate in their name to the selected organization. Tax deduction benefits are also available during year-end tax settlement.

According to this business agreement, customers wishing to donate to the Korean Red Cross will be able to do so in their own name through bank transactions after subscribing to this service.

A Hana Bank official stated, "Recently, the culture of donation has been spreading throughout society, and we will continue to expand business agreements with public interest organizations to support more marginalized groups."
