Local Currency Card Products Scheduled for Launch

[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] NH Nonghyup Card announced on the 26th that it has signed a 'Business Agreement for the Activation of Local Currency' with KT at the Seoul Nonghyup Bank headquarters.
This agreement was promoted to stably operate the local currency project introduced to revitalize the local economy and alleviate the management burden of small business owners. The goal is to improve customer satisfaction by developing and distributing local currency cards to enhance user convenience.
To this end, they plan to continue organic cooperation in all local currency-related tasks, including ▲local currency card development ▲stable system operation ▲customer-friendly services.
Additionally, the two companies intend to leverage NH Nonghyup Card's strength of having Nonghyup branches located nationwide for easy access by local residents, and KT's strength in building a proactive blockchain-based local currency platform.
NH Nonghyup Card plans to continuously launch local currency products for other local governments, starting with Yeominjeon, the local currency of Sejong City. An NH Nonghyup Card official said, "Based on the Nonghyup infrastructure spread across the country, we will contribute to the distribution and activation of local currency and strive to prepare various services that can coexist with rural areas."
