Gwangju Bukbu Fire Station to Resume 'Fire Safety Education' Starting Next Month

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju Bukbu Fire Station (Chief Lee Wonyong) will resume fire safety education, which had been suspended, starting in June as the COVID-19 response system shifts to everyday quarantine.

Bukbu Fire Station announced on the 25th that since it is difficult for the COVID-19 situation to end in a short period, they plan to conduct fire safety education while thoroughly practicing social distancing and quarantine guidelines in daily life.

In particular, to establish a flawless quarantine system, they have prepared quarantine supplies such as temperature measuring devices, disinfection sprayers, and hand sanitizers, and plan to conduct the education in small groups of no more than 20 people.

The education will include pre-education health check questionnaires for each trainee and measures to minimize contact between trainees.

Lee Gwanyong, the person in charge of life safety, said, "Regular repetitive education is important from elementary school students to adults," and added, "We will strive to provide a safe educational environment by strictly adhering to everyday quarantine rules."

Meanwhile, organizations or institutions wishing to participate in fire safety education can contact the Life Safety Team of the 119 Disaster Response Division at Bukbu Fire Station.
