[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education announced on the 25th that it held the 1st Citizen Participation Budget Committee meeting of 2020.

At the Citizen Participation Budget Committee, the results of the 2019 Citizen Participation Budget System operation and the 2020 Citizen Participation Budget System operation plan were reported, and the 2020 citizen proposal projects were reviewed.

The Gwangju Office of Education reflected 31 cases and about 138 billion KRW in the 2020 main budget after collecting citizen opinions and conducting surveys on the 2019 Citizen Participation Budget System operation results, followed by reviews from each department.

In addition, the operation plan (draft) for the 2020 citizen proposal projects was also reviewed.

A Gwangju Office of Education official stated, "To strengthen the promotion of the Citizen Participation Budget System, we will actively utilize media reports and homepage popup windows, and strive to create an atmosphere where citizens can participate."

If you have any opinions, you can submit them on the Office of Education homepage (Participation Square → Citizen Communication → Citizen Participation Budget System → Citizen Participation Budget Opinion Collection).
