Jangseong-gun Officially Launches Integrated Spatial Information Platform Project

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Oh Gilsu] Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 25th that it has completed the selection of a contractor for the ‘Spatial Information Integrated Platform Construction Project’ and will begin full-scale project implementation.

This project, with a total budget of 400 million KRW, selected V&Z Co., Ltd. as the final successful bidder through a restricted competitive bidding by the Public Procurement Service.

Jangseong-gun, which established a spatial information department through an organizational restructuring in 2018 to prepare for the 4th Industrial Revolution era, created the ‘Jangseong-gun Spatial Information 3-Phase Comprehensive Roadmap’ last September, consisting of ▲System Construction (Phase 1) ▲Specialized Public Services (Phase 2) ▲Private Sector Opening of High-Quality Database (Phase 3).

The spatial information integrated platform construction project, corresponding to the first phase, is a project to integrate and link distributed spatial information and establish a system to share continuously generated spatial data, enabling systematic interdepartmental work support and collaboration.

Additionally, by producing and sharing work guidelines, it allows for a comprehensive understanding of the current status and issues of tasks at a glance, facilitating prompt and rational decision-making.

Through this project, the county plans to build high-resolution digital aerial imagery data for the past five years, which is not provided by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, and offer services to personnel in charge of taxation, permits, and public property management.

Furthermore, information on facilities including underground utilities, continuous cadastral maps, and national/public land will be accessible and usable on-site.

Other useful features such as integrated administrative information inquiry, spatial search, automatic analysis of urban planning infringement rates, and extraction of incorporated parcels will also be included.

Yoo Doo-seok, Jangseong-gun County Governor, stated, “Spatial information is a core resource for the development of future new industries,” adding, “We will respond to the future by establishing accurate basic spatial information and further enhance the quality of civil services.”
