[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Min Jun-young] Internet broadcasting platform AfreecaTV host BJ Cheol-gu conducted his first internet broadcast since being discharged from the military.
On the 24th, BJ Cheol-gu held a live broadcast titled "Cheol-gu is back after 2 years" through AfreecaTV.
On that day, 370,000 viewers tuned in to BJ Cheol-gu's comeback broadcast, causing connection errors at one point.
He said, "It's been a really long time. I'm back after 1 year and 7 months. I'm back, brothers," adding, "Before going to the military, I played a lot of games, but now I want to entertain you with YouTube videos."
He continued, "I'm really nervous. I don't know why I'm this nervous, but I'm very nervous."
BJ Cheol-gu, a former professional StarCraft player, retired in 2008 and has been active as an internet broadcaster on platforms like YouTube.
He later married BJ Oe-jil-hye in 2016 and has one daughter.
He temporarily paused his activities in 2018 to enlist in the military and returned to broadcasting on the 24th after being discharged on the 16th.
