[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Wellbiotech announced on the 25th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Truewin to expand the sales channels of products related to COVID-19.
Through this agreement, the two companies will jointly conduct domestic and international marketing for diagnostic and quarantine supplies, as well as thermal imaging cameras necessary for daily quarantine, whose demand has increased due to the spread of COVID-19. In particular, Wellbiotech plans to utilize its approximately 4,000 domestic pharmacy channels to sell Truewin’s thermal imaging camera, 'ThermoB,' which was developed and produced by Truewin and is considered competitive both domestically and internationally. For overseas sales, the product will be supplied through Wellbiotech’s overseas quarantine supplies sales network.
Truewin’s thermal imaging camera 'Thermo_B,' based on its proprietary biometric temperature detection technology, is an absolute temperature measurement thermal imaging camera with precision within 0.3 degrees in the temperature range of 32 to 42 degrees Celsius, which corresponds to the human body temperature. Equipped with an infrared thermal imaging sensor, it can precisely measure the temperature of humans and animals directly.
While thermal imaging cameras on the market are priced high due to difficulties in mass production, ThermoB secured a competitive price compared to other companies by reducing costs through a dedicated manufacturing process.
A Wellbiotech company representative stated, “We expect significant business synergy related to COVID-19 by collaborating with Truewin, which produces thermal imaging cameras, and our company, which has experience exporting diagnostic kits overseas,” adding, “As inquiries for COVID-19 protective equipment and diagnostic kits continue from countries worldwide as well as domestically, we will secure and supply products as soon as possible.”
