Coway conducts group blood donations annually for employees at its Seoul headquarters, research centers, and factories. Additionally, it has been collecting blood donation certificates voluntarily donated by employees.
The blood donation certificates delivered this time will be used for children with leukemia and pediatric cancer who require transfusions through the Korea Leukemia Children's Foundation.
A Coway official said, "We heard that there have been many difficulties in treating pediatric cancer patients due to the recent blood supply shortage caused by COVID-19," adding, "It was meaningful to practice warm sharing through the donation of blood donation certificates."
