Ourhome Expands Air Fryer Exclusive Products... Launches 'Gochu Basak Tongsal Chicken' and More

[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Saeng-hye] Ourhome is strengthening its lineup of air fryer-exclusive product ranges. Following the launch of new chicken products on the 25th, two types of pork cutlets will be added next month.

Last July, Ourhome introduced three types of the ‘Baro Basak Katsu’ series, establishing an air fryer-exclusive product line and expanding the lineup to include chicken and fried rice cakes. Since their launch, the eight exclusive products have shown an average monthly sales growth of about 35%, receiving positive responses from consumers. The main sales channels include Ourhome’s official online mall ‘Ourhome Food Mall’ and other online distribution channels.

Due to the popularity of related products, Ourhome plans to launch the air fryer-exclusive product ‘Gochu Basak Whole Chicken’ in May and introduce two more products, ‘Namsan Wang Donkatsu’ and ‘Namsan Wang Chicken Katsu,’ next month to target the market.

Ourhome’s air fryer-exclusive product line is fried with low-moisture breadcrumbs for extra crispiness, undergoes a long oil-frying process, and is rapidly frozen in a nearly fully cooked state to save cooking time. Another feature is the oil coating on the surface, making it suitable for air fryer cooking.

‘Baro Gochu Basak Whole Chicken’ contains ground Cheongyang chili peppers in the batter, allowing consumers to enjoy a sharp spicy flavor. It uses whole chicken thigh meat, providing a soft texture, making it ideal as a drinking snack or casual snack. It is ready by placing the product in a preheated air fryer at 200 degrees Celsius and cooking for 5 minutes. If an air fryer is not available, it can also be cooked in a regular pan. It can be stored frozen for up to 12 months.

‘Baro Namsan Wang Donkatsu’ and ‘Baro Namsan Chicken Katsu’ recreate the Western-style dishes once enjoyed near Namsan Seoul Tower as home meal replacements (HMR). Both menus use domestic pork and chicken, and their generous size is enough to satisfy an adult male eating alone. They are ready by placing the product in a preheated air fryer at 200 degrees Celsius and cooking for 10 to 13 minutes. If an air fryer is not available, they can also be cooked in a regular pan. They can be stored frozen for up to 9 months.
