All Guro-gu Employees Participate in the 'Emergency Disaster Relief Fund Kind Consumption Campaign'

[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] “We will consume faster and more in Guro!”

Employees of Guro District Office have united in the ‘Emergency Disaster Relief Fund Good Consumption Campaign’ to revitalize the local economy through promoting consumption.

Guro District (Mayor Lee Seong) announced on the 25th that it is conducting a ‘Good Consumption Campaign’ targeting all employees to share the hardships of small business owners and micro-entrepreneurs struggling due to COVID-19 and to help alleviate management difficulties by increasing sales.

This ‘Good Consumption Campaign’ is a campaign to ‘use the emergency disaster relief fund quickly within the region by the end of June.’ The purpose is for public officials to take the lead in stimulating consumption and revive the local economy in a short time.

To this end, Guro District held the ‘Disaster Relief Fund Good Consumption Participation Pledge Ceremony’ on the 21st. All employees participated and promised to actively consume the emergency disaster relief fund quickly and to spread the culture of ‘good consumption’ around them.

To encourage employees’ interest and participation, a ‘Good Consumption Relay’ is also being conducted.

When an employee sends a message and a gift supporting good consumption to another employee, the recipient then passes a gift on to another employee. The gifts are set to be items under 10,000 KRW that can be purchased at local traditional markets or small stores, such as agricultural products, flowers, snacks, and daily necessities.

A Guro District official said, “We hope that the emergency disaster relief fund will lead to actual consumption and breathe new life into the local economy,” and added, “We will do our best to ease the economic difficulties of small business owners and self-employed people in the region.”
