[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] The Korea International Trade Association has launched a campaign to produce and promote free product promotional videos for 100 Kmall24 vendors by the end of the year.
Kmall24 is an overseas direct sales platform operated directly by the association. This promotional video series was planned to strengthen online marketing support for exporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) amid the recent expansion of contactless consumption due to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
The association selects themes and related products that align with global consumer trends and produces short promotional videos of around 30 seconds optimized for mobile and social networking services (SNS) free of charge. The produced videos are uploaded to Kmall24's official website, YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram accounts, and targeted promotions are conducted for overseas consumers.
The first series, themed "Overcoming COVID-19," produced nine promotional videos for 12 related products. On the 25th, two videos were first released featuring stretching aids and posture correction cushions for home training enthusiasts. By the 22nd of next month, seven more videos will be released sequentially each week, including a urine test kit to check pets' diseases at home, cup-bokki, educational play products for children, and daily quarantine supplies.
Kim Hyun-chul, Head of the Global Marketing Division, said, "We will continue to discover content-centered online marketing strategies that respond to changes in global consumer trends to support the export of our companies."
