[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-ju] A British woman in her 60s in Wonju, Gangwon Province, has tested positive for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
According to Wonju City on the 24th, a 61-year-old British national A, who arrived from the UK through Incheon International Airport at 2:35 PM on the 21st of this month, tested positive for COVID-19 the previous afternoon and was admitted to Wonju Medical Center.
Upon arrival, Ms. A came home by car without any layovers and, while in self-quarantine, underwent a specimen test at the health center's screening clinic at 11:30 AM on the 23rd.
Aside from one acquaintance who accompanied Ms. A during her movements, no other contacts have been identified. The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Gangwon Province has risen to 56.
