Daegu Facilities Corporation Donates PCs to Underprivileged Groups ... "Expecting to Bridge the Digital Divide"

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Daegu Facilities Corporation announced on the 23rd that it donated 49 computers and monitors that had exceeded their service life to the International Disabled Culture Exchange Association.

To bridge the digital divide for marginalized groups, the corporation has been carrying out the "Sending Love PCs" project since 2018, and has donated a total of 133 units to various social organizations up to this year. These computers and monitors are distributed free of charge to people with disabilities, multicultural families, and single-parent families through the International Disabled Culture Exchange Association.

Kim Ho-kyung, Chairman of Daegu Facilities Corporation, said, "Through this donation, I hope it will help alleviate the digital divide among marginalized groups related to online school openings due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19)." He added, "We will continue to fulfill our social responsibility as a public enterprise through ongoing interest and efforts."
