[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Hee-eun Park] Actor Bong Tae-gyu expressed his conviction on the occasion of the 11th anniversary of the late former President Roh Moo-hyun.
On the 23rd, Bong Tae-gyu posted a lengthy message along with a photo of former President Roh Moo-hyun on his SNS.
He mentioned, "Someone referred to this person saying there should be no more tragedies and talked about pardoning the two former presidents who are currently imprisoned."
He continued, "The May 18 Democratic Movement, which recently marked its 40th anniversary, still has fake news and various rumors circulating. Those who should be held accountable are living well, playing golf. I believe this would not have happened if a clear condemnation had been made."
Bong Tae-gyu stated, "Mentioning President Roh Moo-hyun in that condemnation means they still do not know what they have done."
He added, "The two currently imprisoned and the person from Gwangju are not tragedies but are paying the price for what they have done."
Bong Tae-gyu said, "No one has properly taken responsibility yet," and added, "I hope President Roh Moo-hyun will no longer be mentioned because of such people."
