[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Hee-eun Park] A woman in her 40s who stayed at a buffet restaurant in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province, where more than 10 confirmed cases of COVID-19 occurred, for a close acquaintance's family’s first birthday party has tested positive for COVID-19.
According to Incheon City on the 23rd, A (43), a resident of Sangok-dong, Bupyeong-gu, Incheon, was confirmed positive for COVID-19 on the 23rd.
A visited the buffet restaurant located in Bucheon City on the 9th. This location is where more than 10 confirmed cases recently occurred. It was confirmed that she stayed at the buffet from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM on that day together with taxi driver B (49), who was a confirmed case.
Previously, B was infected with COVID-19 at Top Coin Noraebang in Incheon.
B, who was confirmed positive on the 19th, visited the buffet restaurant on the 9th, 10th, and 17th of the same month to work as a freelance photographer. He began showing suspicious symptoms from the 11th.
The Top Coin Noraebang where B was infected is a place visited by students of C (25), an academy instructor in Incheon who was confirmed positive after visiting Itaewon King Club and other locations earlier this month.
A is presumed to be the 4th generation infected person, starting from the academy instructor who visited Itaewon King Club, followed by the instructor’s student (at the coin noraebang), and then the taxi driver (at the coin noraebang).
