Naver Officially Enters Certificate Market: "Easy Authentication with ID"

On the 22nd, Naver announced that it will expand partnerships for the 'Naver Certificate.' The 'Naver Certificate,' which applies a PKI-based electronic signature that cannot be forged or altered, is a service that allows easy identity verification by logging in to other websites using 'Login with Naver ID' outside of Naver.

Currently, the 'Login with Naver ID' service, which allows easy login with a Naver account, is applied at about 25,000 sites. Naver explains that once the Naver Certificate is applied, users will experience significantly enhanced security throughout their online activities.

Along with this, Naver will also expand the 'Naver Bill' service. Naver Bill is a mobile electronic notification service that allows users to receive public and private electronic documents and registered notifications through an application (app). After completing identity verification using the Naver Certificate, users can check the contents of the bill and make payments using 'Naver Pay.'

Based on the bill service applied with the 'Naver Certificate,' Naver plans to partner not only with public institutions such as local governments including Seoul City and the National Pension Service but also with numerous insurance companies this year.

This year, Naver plans to enable users to check civil defense mobilization notices issued by Seoul City and pension payment notices issued by the National Pension Service through the Naver Bill service.

In addition to the existing partnerships with Meritz Fire & Marine Insurance for fire insurance and pet insurance, Naver plans to link with various insurance products such as automobile, fire, and retirement insurance.
