[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Hanssem (CEO Kang Seung-su) announced on the 22nd that its website 'Hanssem.com' has surpassed 50,000 cumulative consultation requests as an O4O (Online for Offline) platform connecting customers with over 700 Hanssem offline stores nationwide.

The O4O platform is not simply about introducing offline stores online, but a business model that combines and utilizes customer data acquired online for offline activities. Hanssem explained that amid the spread of contactless consumption due to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), Hanssem.com, an O4O platform that minimizes store visits, is playing a significant role in revitalizing offline sales.

Hanssem revamped Hanssem.com into an O4O platform in March last year. Visitors can explore various space package contents categorized by area size and style. The online virtual reality (VR) model house, which allows users to virtually experience the post-construction appearance, also attracts attention. Various actual construction cases can also be viewed.

After selecting a space package of interest online and applying for consultation, customers are assigned to the optimal offline store. For example, if a kitchen package is requested, they are connected to a nearby kitchen specialty store, and if a whole-house renovation package is selected, they are connected to a remodeling specialty store. From the perspective of the connected dealerships, they can easily attract customers with purchase intent without conducting their own online marketing activities.

The number of consultation requests on Hanssem.com was 7,000 cumulative in the second quarter, 17,000 in the third quarter, and 28,000 in the fourth quarter of the same year after the service was introduced in March last year. This year, it reached 42,000 in the first quarter and surpassed 50,000 cumulative requests in May. A Hanssem official said, "Following fashion and food, the home interior sector is also expanding its online domain," adding, "Through O4O platforms like Hanssem.com, the headquarters can provide region-customized services to customers, and dealerships can secure customers with high purchase intent."
