[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] Gil, a broadcaster formerly of Leessang, will appear on a show with his wife and son.
On the Channel A variety program 'Dad's True Colors,' scheduled to air on the 24th, Gil, returning as a father, will reveal his daily life with his family.
Gil described his wife as "a pure and simple person who grew up catching crayfish in a countryside far from here," adding, "She is 10 years younger than me, and her personality is very different from mine."
Earlier, in January, Gil appeared on Channel A's variety program 'Eye Contact' with his mother-in-law. During the broadcast, Gil apologized for hiding his wife and son Ha-eum and decided to hold a wedding ceremony.
His wife, Ms. Boreum, shared, "I couldn't go out properly for a long time, and I ignored all the calls from my friends," adding, "It was frustrating because I couldn't even tell anyone that I had a child."
She continued, "Once, when I was pregnant with Ha-eum and full-term, I really craved sundae guk (Korean blood sausage soup). So, my husband and I went to a sundae guk restaurant, but people around recognized my husband and said harsh things among themselves, which I overheard."
She added, "I was so heartbroken that I cried in front of the sundae guk restaurant. Then I thought hiding was not the answer," and explained, "My husband was the brightest and most energetic when on air, but as he stopped going out, I saw him gradually deteriorate," explaining the reason for deciding to appear on the show.
